The Van Mahotsav, or the “Festival of Trees,” was celebrated at Kalpa during the morning assembly on 17th July 2026. The programme commenced with a prayer sung by the students, expressing gratitude for the beautiful bounties of nature.
This was followed by thought-provoking speeches delivered by the Deputy Head Girl, Vaishnavi P., and the Cultural Captain, Irene Vinay. They created awareness among the students about the harmful effects of deforestation and emphasized the vital role that trees play in sustaining life and protecting the environment.
The celebration was further enriched by students’ performances that highlighted the importance of forest conservation and encouraged tree plantation as a means of preserving nature for future generations.
The programme concluded with the entire school taking an environmental pledge, led by Diya Agarwal, Vice Captain for Literary Activities, and Safiyah, Assembly Duties Vice Captain. The students pledged to keep their surroundings clean, green, and beautiful, and to protect trees by refraining from felling them.
