Extracurricular- Yoga Students participated in CISCE Zonal Yoga Tournament for Academic Year 2025-2026.

The CISCE Zonal Yoga Tournament for the Academic Year 2025-2026 was organized by Kalpa School in the school premises on 14th June, 2025. 5 schools namely-Kalpa School, Sujatha school, NASR Girls School, NASR Boys School, International School (Shaikpet)-participated in the competition. The Director Mrs. Kusum Gupta in her welcome address emphasized about the importance of yoga while sharing her valuable experiences. There was a spectacular and beautiful display of talent, confidence, strength and flexibility by the yoga performers which left the judges spell bound. There were asanas that tested the patience, might and endurance of the students. Each team well represented their asanas with proper postures, expressions and gestures.
There were 4categories in total consisting ofU-14 and U-17 for both boys and girls with each team having 5 students each. The technical officials for the event were-

- Mr. Durgam Vinodh
The event started with the faculty members welcoming the esteemed judges and technical officials on stage and the Director, Mrs. Kusum Gupta delivered the welcome address and declared the meet open. Mr. Manohar Kumar, the chief referee imparted few words of wisdom and lifted everyone’s spirits with his encouraging words. The participants had to perform 2 compulsory asanas along with 3 optional yogic exercise for the competition. They are listed below
- Compulsory asana (Group A) for 30 seconds – Sarvangasana
- Compulsory asana (Group B) for 15 seconds – Puma Chakrasana
- Optional asanas (Group C) for 10 seconds hold each
Hosting the CISCE Zonal Yoga Tournament for the academic year2025-2026 has been a truly enriching experience for our school. From witnessing incredible displays of strength, balance, and focus to welcoming participants from across the zone, the event was a celebration of unity, discipline, and the spirit of healthy competition. We hope the memories created here inspire many more young minds to embrace yoga not just as a sport, but as a way of life.
